Sometimes you need to remove team members, either from a project or from the account altogether. Here is how!
A member can be safely removed from a project (= production) but will remain accessible to other projects within the same company. To completely remove a member from your company account, follow the instructions below.
Here is how to remove access but keep member information in the project.
Remove a member from a project #
Crew member
- Click Crew in the sidebar menu.
- Find the member card, hover over the upper right-hand corner and click Edit.
- Scroll down to the Access & membership section and click to open.
- Write the member’s name in the input box and click Remove crew member.
- Please note that removing a team member means that you will remove their access to your project, their project details and any contributions to your project, including any tasks they are scheduled to perform that also will be deleted. Removing a team member may negatively affect your project.
Cast member
- Click Cast & Characters in the sidebar menu.
- Click the member name, then Edit member details in the pop-up.
- Scroll down to the Access & membership section and click to open.
- Write the member’s name in the input box and click Remove cast member.
- Please note that removing a team member means that you will remove their access to your project, their project details and any contributions to your project, including any tasks they are scheduled to perform that also will be deleted. Removing a team member may negatively affect your project.
Remove a member from the company account #
- Click your company name in the upper right corner of the screen.
- Then, click People in the sidebar menu.
- Find your member in the list and hover on the right-hand side of the list and click Edit/Invite.
- In the pop-up, click Delete member, and follow the instructions.
Note that you need company account access to delete a member in the company section. Removing a team member revokes their project access and deletes their project details, contributions, and scheduled tasks. This may impact your project workflow.
