Assigning a unit or a team to a scene is mainly done in the Shooting Scheduling. The planning you do in the Shooting Scheduling directly relates to call sheets.
Step 1: Preparation – Set up Teams/Units #
- Click Planning in the sidebar menu.
- If this is the first time you or your colleagues visit this section for this particular production, you will be automatically sent to the Setup Settings. At the top, you’ll find the Team/Unit settings.
- If you see the production calendar, click Settings in the orange toolbar and then click the first title: Teams.
- All five teams are turned on by default. Here, you can add unit names, change team colour and switch off units you don’t need. You can always return and edit later.
Step 2: Add shooting days in the Calendar #
- Click Calendar in the orange toolbar.
- Add single unit/team days: Click the blue Add button to add a single shooting day. Select day, team/unit and activity. This will create a shooting day in Scheduling, accessible via the orange toolbar for Shooting Scheduling, and a call sheet object in the Calendar.
- Bulk-add shooting days: Click the black menu icon in the upper right corner of the Calendar view, and select Bulk add. Follow the instructions to add as many days as required.
Step 3: Assigning a Unit or a Team to a Scene #
- Click Scheduling in the orange toolbar.
- Drag and drop scenes from the left-hand scene list on the correct unit/team and day.
- You can also open the filter section and click Bulk schedule. This requires that your scenes either have page parts or an estimated duration set in the Breakdown.
