Swedish national broadcaster SVT updates their classic Summer Holiday series, running every day during the school summer holiday. This year produced on Dramatify’s production platform with a complex production mix of live-on-stage show, pre-recorded drama and purchased material.
Swedish TV program “Summer Holiday” will return this year with a new historical theme, including eras such as the Middle Ages, the Enlightenment, and the 1980s. The presenters, including new addition Adrian Alebo Andersson, will wear costumes from different historical periods.
The program is recorded in Malmö and will be broadcast every day on SVT Barn and SVT Play from June 12 to August 18. The audience will also have the chance to participate in the program as extras and can dress up according to the historical era of the day’s recording. The presenters hope the children will be inspired to play more and to jump into the game’s imaginative and fantastical world. The popular character Summer Shadow will also return to the show.
